Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On September 8, 2005, Vital Images, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that Susan A. Wood has joined the Company as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Clinical Development, and that two current employees, Steven P. Canakes and Philip I. Smith, have been promoted to the positions of Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, respectively. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is hereby incorporated herein by reference.
