Item 8.01. Other Events.
     On May 11, 2009, Emerson Radio Corp. (the “Company”) announced that it has acquired the Ölevia trademarks, licensing rights and intellectual property related to the brand from Syntax- Brillian Corp., which currently is operating under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
