Systems Change Alliance Hosts Online Summit "Beyond the Great Reset"

By: Issuewire

London, United Kingdom Apr 9, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Join world-renowned speakers Richard Heinberg and Helena Norberg Hodge, and many more, for an impactful day on how we can transform the world's environmental and economic crises with comprehensive systems change.

Corporations and governments have been trying to green the planet with sustainable capitalism for the past 40 years, but with mixed results at best. Meanwhile, the systemic crises of economic inequality and environmental destruction have only become more entrenched. One of the organizers of the event, Systems Change Alliance co-founder Roar Bjonnes, says "it is time we look for deeper solutions."

According to Bjonnes, the newly formed Systems Change Alliance (SCA) has decided to explore what it would take to create a more comprehensive economic and environmental transformation than the one recently promoted by the World Economic Forum.

The SCA writes on its website that "the world is in a deep, systemic crisis, both economically and environmentally." But the organization's leaders do not think that the World Economic Forum's idea of a Great Reset is the long-term answer to the world's needs. "It is time we look beyond the corporate agenda for answers," Bjonnes maintains.

Some of the speakers for the Beyond the Great Reset event include world-renowned clean energy expert Richard Heinberg, known for his bestselling book Peak Oil; winner of the "Alternative Nobel Prize" and local economy activist Helena Norberg Hodge; leading futurist and UNESCO Chair for Future Studies, Sohail Inayatullah; as well as popular speaker and writer on regenerative culture Daniel Christian Wahl, and many more.

Topics to be discussed during this groundbreaking one-day summit include new technologies and energy systems, the economics of happiness, bioregional and distributive economies, resource conservation and regeneration, planetary futures, and more.

The main purpose of this summit, according to the SCA, is "to explore what it would take to create a more comprehensive economic and environmental transformation than the kind of sustainability currently promoted by the corporate market economy."

The organizer of this summit, the SCA, is an international organization based in the UK. It brings together groups, organizations, and individuals who are seeking all-round systems change by working in three core areas: environment, society, and economy.
