On May 16, 2007, John F. Milligan, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Gilead Sciences, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the Company), entered into a stock trading plan under Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (Rule 10b5-1). James M. Denny and Paul Berg, Ph.D., members of the Company’s Board of Directors, John C. Martin, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, and Gregg H. Alton, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Company, previously established stock trading plans under Rule 10b5-1, and certain other officers and directors of the Company may do so in the future.
