About Motorcycle Hill Hold Control System, Hill hold control (HHC) is a component of ADAS that is finding increased adoption in motorcycles. The HHC unit prevents motorcycles from unexpectedly rolling backward or forward while riding uphill or downhill, respectively. It works along with ABS and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) to activate the HHC function in the vehicle. This requires some additional programming in the same controller, and no extra hardware is required. Hence, it is also known as a value-added ABS functionality and comes as an optional feature in most heavyweight luxury motorcycles like BMW R1200 RT, Ducati bikes, and KTM 1290 Super Duke.
