A few days short of a year ago, Arthur has had to put his knee down, look around and face the dire consequences of his actions having pushed him on to the side roads of his life’s journey. The results of bad decisions and ill intent from his entourage left him realizing that the odds were stacking against him. Has he turned around to take inventory of his life, support and encouragement were scarce but not completely absent he did have a rock to hold on to. Holding on to hope at any cost, Arthur bet against those who would have him quit school and just give up on his health, most thought that Arthur would never be able to give up the bad influences that led him down that awful rabbit hole.
Once he had clear vision of his predicament, he worked tirelessly to adapt and overcome.
This is a Cinderella story, his grade average in December of less than 20%, made almost everyone doubt that he would graduate from high school. With kind intentions some even suggested that he quit studying for the year and concentrate on improving his lifestyle.
But Arthur believed in himself, it would be all or nothing, burning inside his chest was the belief that nothing could stand in the way of a determined 16-year-old, he was going to own his past mistakes and build the future on the most solid bases that he knew. Tireless hard work and motivation to do the right thing at any price.
Things started to move but his journey would not be a simple straight line. Arthur was already on the right path giving all he had but convincing the ones around him that his was a righteous and dedicated path proved even more difficult. That is how he was sent away from his family into a youth behavior rehab center.
At the very moment that Arthur heard the decision being announced, he chose to keep his chin up and keep believing in himself while around him hope dwindled.
Again, those who love Arthur saw a real risk that this huge bump in the road would throw him off course yet again. Yet he stood the course, he doubled down on determination and looked for positivity out of this mess that he accepted as his own.
This was one battle, he was prepared, he knew that hardships are part of life, he welcomed his and came out fighting and even more determined to succeed.
One must master his discipline and self esteem in order to make it through. He knew that and reminded himself daily has he progressed head down in this back road of life.
But his was still a Cinderella story, Arthur patiently waited for the results of his hard work.
What is so inspiring about the journey is that Arthur knew his destination was farfetched, he bet on his character and personality to overcome but he understood that every step was a win, every day being loyal to his new goals was moving him forward. Aiming high and giving it your all is what Arthur is all about, the destination is as important as the journey.
So, battles were fought on many levels. In class, never missing a single second of opportunity to learn, in his daily life steering his path away from bad influences and in court, demonstrating that he did not belong in the youth center.
Arthur remained resilient and proved to the world that even the most dwindling odds could be overcome. He showed us all that his success was not negotiable, despite being at the bottom, he would come out on top.
Much to everyone’s surprise and awe, 8 months later he became the “come back kid” as he climbed the stairs to the stage in front of the entire school, receiving not only his diploma, but a prize for excellence in Mathematics (the previous December his average was 18%), Arthur reached the top of his class in that subject as well as many others. It was an emotional day for him as he could show the world that change is possible, that nothing is ever out of reach for those who put in the work. Earlier he had succeeded in demonstrating that his being sent to the youth center was in error. With higher grades a healthy lifestyle and an unbreakable determination, he proved that he was now on the high road to happiness, no one would stand in his way anymore.
He’s got this, now bring on whatever else.
Today, the worries are replaced by ambition, the will to live life to the fullest and being driven by passion instead of fear of a bad outcome.
Not so long ago, the house was silent, now, Arthur sets the mood with his guitars and piano, his renewed passion for music fills the air with fine melodies much to everyone’s delight.
This teenager has a fresh new outlook on life, he finds passion all over. Video, photo, his health, and training, of course he makes the time each day to fly around the local skate park.
In the next year Arthur will learn to drive, he will also learn to ride a motorcycle.
Arthur and his father have set a goal for themselves, a dream that has just turned to a project. In four years, they will ride to the edge of the world together for a 12 months.
Being 16, studying, playing music, making videos and prepare over 4 years for the trip of a lifetime, nothing is too big for the Come Back Kid.
Despite facing arduous situations and challenges in life, Arthur Meloche was firm in his decision to conquer his dreams and refused to give up on them. While passing his days in the readapt youth center, Arthur Meloche realized that he needed something to achieve his dreams and turn his life into inspiration. He studied and worked hard to leave his past life behind and make the most out of it. With a creative and innovative mindset, Arthur Meloche intends to launch his clothing brand while having many other ideas to become a renowned and recognized public figure. With extensive planning and a far-sighted vision, Arthur Meloche aims to have strategic planning while thinking positively and being able to bounce back from challenging situations.
“I want to start off working with clothing brands, and I have a bunch of ideas such as being a musician and going around the world as a star, owning marketplaces and then creating mine (human prostheses making), or even being famous for skateboarding or gaming, etc. I have a lot of ideas. Even if I’m not motivated, I keep going. I’m discovering myself more than ever. I’m not fleeing life anymore, and I look forward. I can do something even bigger to get even higher in my life. I realized I am the leader of my life and can make changes. Whatever it takes, I’ll do it,” says Arthur Meloche.
Arthur Meloche believes that he is the leader of his life and intends to implement his ideas, including being a musician and going around the world as a star. He makes diligent efforts to mark his way into the different fields while striving hard to own marketplaces and create his own. Moreover, since a young age, Arthur has been passionate about gaming, skating, and being a guitarist. Besides launching his brand, he intends to become a renowned gamer and become famous for skateboarding across Canada.
Moreover, Arthur Meloche is fully confident that he will achieve everything he has desired, and he never hesitates to go the extra mile to chase his dreams. He constantly tries to discover himself and never lets his emotions and setbacks become a hindrance to his success.
