Tempers flare in Missouri Senate during GOP fight over initiative petition changes

The newly formed Freedom Caucus in the Missouri Senate demanded immediate action while the GOP leadership resisted being forced to yield to the minority faction. The resulting filibuster delayed confirmation of 25 appointees to state jobs, college boards and local government.
