Chicago Heights, IL - Bethel Family Resource Center will host "Bethel Hearts Health," a free community wellness celebration on November 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at 1250 Portland Avenue in Chicago Heights. The event marks the official launch of a new Community Blood Pressure Monitor Kiosk designed to provide residents with easy access to heart health monitoring.

The celebration offers families a chance to prioritize their cardiovascular wellness while enjoying an afternoon of food, entertainment, and education. All ages are welcome to attend the free event, which requires no advance registration.

"We are launching this new Community Blood Pressure Monitor Kiosk to give everyone a simple way to know their numbers and take charge of their heart health," said Lawrence J. Blackful, Jr., CEO of Bethel Family Resource Center. "This kiosk will be available to our community year-round, making it easier for families to monitor their blood pressure and catch potential health concerns early."

Attendees can take advantage of several free offerings at the event:

• Fun movement breaks

• Heart-healthy trivia with a chance to win a free five-star vacation

The first 25 guests to arrive will be entered into a raffle to win a special holiday prize. The event is designed to encourage regular health monitoring and raise awareness about cardiovascular disease prevention.

Bethel Family Resource Center collaborated with the American Heart Association to bring this health resource to the community. The kiosk will remain available to residents beyond the November 24 event, providing ongoing access to blood pressure monitoring.
