ECFC Hosts 35th Annual Symposium to Educate Benefits Industry Professionals on Evolving Healthcare Trends

Agenda Includes Improving the Participant Experience, Post-Pandemic Employee Benefit Perceptions, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives

ECFC, the leading nonprofit organization promoting choice in consumer-driven benefit solutions, will hold its 35th Annual Symposium on August 3-5 to educate benefits industry professionals on evolving healthcare trends in a post-pandemic healthcare environment. The 35th Annual Symposium will return to an in-person format and will be held in Orlando, Florida.

“Our Symposium is filled with relevant insights for our members on relevant topics and healthcare challenges today, including the impact of Roe v. Wade changes and employee views on benefits surrounding the Great Resignation,” said Christa Day, Executive Director at ECFC. “Attendees earn continuing education credits and enjoy networking among the best and brightest minds in our industry. It’s a not-to-miss event for anyone who works with pretax and tax-advantaged accounts in the consumer healthcare benefits space.”

Prior to the Symposium, a Certification Clinic will be held the morning of August 3. Presented in a “teach-to-the-test” format, the certification track will give benefits professionals the added knowledge they need to advance their careers and address client and user questions around tax-advantaged accounts.

To kick off the Symposium on August 3, new incoming ECFC Board Chair Karen Frost and ECFC Executive Director Christa Day will welcome attendees followed by an update on the latest happenings in Washington, D.C., regulatory updates, and a keynote panel on improving the participant experience for FSA and HSA participants.

On August 4, the Symposium will feature an array of dynamic speakers and educational sessions, including the following highlights:

  • The Amazing Possibilities of Healthcare in the Metaverse!
  • Changing Perceptions of Employee Benefits in the Post-Pandemic Workforce
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Employee Benefit Plans
  • 2022 FSA and HSA Consumer Research
  • Consumer-Directed Benefits with an Experience Economy Lens
  • Cobra in the time of Covid

The meeting will conclude on August 5, highlighted by a pair of key agency guidance updates from the IRS and US Department of Labor.
