Inovalon Unveils New Insights, Technology Advances, and Strategies to Build a More Connected and Predictive Healthcare Ecosystem
Inovalon, a leading provider of data and solutions empowering data-driven healthcare, recently convened hundreds of healthcare leaders, innovators, and policymakers for Empower 2025.
Opening the event, Inovalon CEO Adam Kansler called for a more predictive healthcare ecosystem and outlined how Inovalon, its customers, and partners are shifting from reactive to proactive workflows through advanced analytics and actionable intelligence.
“Up to 97% of healthcare data goes unused. It’s up to us to turn that data into action and empower clinicians, researchers, and payers to deliver the future of healthcare,” Kansler said.
The Next Frontier of AI and Data Innovation
Representing nearly two-thirds of the world’s cloud compute capacity on stage, leaders from AWS, Google, Microsoft, and Snowflake shared how AI is reshaping the fabric of healthcare. Panelists discussed how generative and agentic AI models are already predicting disease progression, accelerating drug development with synthetic data, and creating digital twin simulations for personalized healthcare.
Turning Data into Better Outcomes
Payer discussions centered on how modern data strategies improve member experience, CMS Star Ratings, digital quality measures (dQMS), and financial performance. Leaders from Inovalon, AmeriHealth, Leon Health, and DCO shared how integrating claims and clinical data allows payers and providers to identify and close care gaps in real time.
Unlocking Real-World Evidence for Smarter Decisions
Across the life sciences and analytics tracks, Inovalon and the Pharmacy Quality Alliance presented research on the Inflation Reduction Act’s impact on improving persistence to basal insulin treatment among Medicare Advantage beneficiaries. Snowflake and Medtronic joined Inovalon to discuss the ripple effects of drug pricing reforms and need for real-world data.
Modernizing Provider Performance and Resilience
Provider-focused discussions demonstrated how organizations like Phelps Memorial Health Center, PAM Health, and Inovalon are adding automation to revenue cycle management and reducing manual burden. Inovalon and Netsmart also shared how combining primary source data with agentic AI capabilities has supported more than 2.5 million denied claim recommended corrections and 150,000 eligibility checks.
Reimagining the Pharmacy Ecosystem
Pharmacy sessions explored how next-generation connectivity is transforming therapy delivery. Walgreens, Inovalon, and Snowflake highlighted how emerging gene and cell therapies require long-term outcomes tracking, transparent data exchange, and cross-team coordination to reach patients safely and equitably.
A Vision for the Future
In a keynote fireside chat, Inovalon’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Paige Kilian and former CMS administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure underscored healthcare’s responsibility to use data to remove friction from the system, such as simplifying prior authorization or expanding rural care access, and make equity a central measure of progress.
