Kenwood Management Company, a mid-Atlantic commercial real estate owner, announced today several renovation projects throughout its portfolio totaling nearly $5MM. The medical and office projects in Virginia and Maryland include:
1. MedStar – Medical
MedStar recently completed the construction of an endoscopy center at McLean Plaza, 6862 Elm Street in McLean, Virginia. Kascon Construction, from Columbia, Maryland, acted as the general contractor.
2. Virginia Hospital Center (VHC) – Medical
ADI Construction of Virginia LLC is acting as VHC’s general contractor for a major primary care center also at McLean Plaza. The project is anticipated to be completed in late May.
3. Hearing Associates of Northern Virginia – Medical
Milestone Building Services from Gaithersburg, Maryland, completed an expansion for Hearing Associates of Northern Virginia, a 30-year-old audiology group. Hearing Associates is located at McLean Plaza.
4. Agile 1 Tech – Office/Training Facility
Agile One Tech, an information technology training school, is expanding its facility at 10400 Eaton Place in Fairfax, VA. Edgley Construction is acting as the general contractor. When completed in mid-April, Agile One will have 3 fully operational classrooms.
5. Common Area Renovation
Commercial Interior Construction of Kingsville, Maryland, is performing a common area and restroom renovation for Franklin & Prokipik at the historic B&O Building in downtown Baltimore. New high finishes are being installed, and work is projected to be completed in May.
6. Straughan Environmental – Office
Commercial Interior Construction will also be renovating office spaces for Straughan Environmental, a 30-year-old engineering company with a focus on protecting the environment. The project is anticipated to commence in April and be completed in late May. Straughan is headquartered in Quarry Pond Overlook, located at 9175 Guilford Road, in Columbia, Maryland.
