TULSA, Okla. - Aug. 4, 2025 - PRLog -- The Tulsa Air and Space Museum will host a special dedication ceremony and airplane fly-in on Saturday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate the grand opening of its new Women in Aviation exhibit. This powerful new exhibition honors the groundbreaking achievements of women in aviation history and is dedicated to the memory of Nan Gaylord, a trailblazing female pilot and flight instructor who mentored thousands of student pilots throughout her career.

Pilots are invited to fly in for this celebration and may park their aircraft at the Runup Area on the north end of Runway 18R at Tulsa International Airport.

The public and media are warmly welcomed to attend this inspiring event. Guests will enjoy remarks from museum leadership and special guests as the exhibit is unveiled. The exhibit is designed not only to honor the past but also to inspire the future by showcasing the stories of women who broke barriers in aviation and aerospace.

"This exhibit pays tribute to the incredible women who shaped aviation history and helped open doors for future generations," said Tonya Blansett, Executive Director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. "We are especially proud to dedicate this exhibit to Nan Gaylord, whose impact on aviation education will be felt for generations to come."
