About the Author

After a lifetime of lay and ordained ministry in New York and California, Bonnie is culminating her career with the publication of “Women Who Knew Jesus,” the subject of retreats she has led for over twenty years. Bonnie brings the wisdom and understanding she has accrued from forty years as a licensed psychologist and more than twenty years as an Episcopal priest, spiritual director, educator, and retreat leader.

Raised amid the arts and politics of midtown Manhattan, Bonnie became a Christian at fourteen after her Dalton High School class visited a convent overnight and the priest said that God had been waiting to welcome her home. Her response was immediate and deep. Educated first at Vassar College and New York University, she completed master's and doctorate degrees in adult education from Boston University, with additional graduate study at UCLA in applied behavioral sciences and UC San Francisco in human sexuality. She received a master's of divinity degree from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, and she taught pastoral theology there as adjunct faculty.

She is recognized by Who's Who in America, Who's Who among American Women, and Who's Who in the West. She offers retreats by request and provides psychotherapy and spiritual direction with offices in Berkeley and Moss Beach, California.
